New Dorp Beach, Richmond County, New York   The forceful water and a beautiful coastline is a lovely view. New York is a great beach state. If you're a camper you can raise that tent at one of the wonderful campgrounds around here. There aren’t any accommodations in the neighborhood but if you're ready to voyage a small length then no problem but you'd better reserve previous to going as these hotels fill up fast through the warm months. There are more things to do here other than just hanging out at the beach such as whitewater paddling, boating, golfing, swimming, and fishing, so there's absolutely     no way to get bored. New Dorp Beach is not an incredibly visited slice of shoreline, but being on it is glorious excitement any time. At this segment of coast you will not ever have a bad time. Beaches are great; and Oakwood Beach close to New Dorp Beach is no exception, and there are plenty of people from New York-Newark-Edison here. A day at Midland Beach close to New Dorp Beach is time well spent, and Silver Lake Golf Course is a good golf course nearby. If you haven’t been to Gateway National Recreation Area, you must schedule some time for it if you're here; a good site to explore close by is Craven Shoal. Riverbank State Park is a great location to stretch your legs a bit. Summer at New Dorp Beach arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the   30's while New Dorp Beach night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 10's. New Dorp Beach is a wet location that gets a large amount of rainfall; May is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.
