Paddling on Sacandaga River - Middle Branch is so much fun, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail. Drift down the rapids of Sacandaga River - West Branch in a kayak. The high level of rainfall makes Moffit Beach a pretty wet place; August is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. For the period of the warm months, highs commonly are in the 70's at Moffit Beach. Once the sun   is down it falls down to the 50's. All through the winter the highs are usually in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Moffit Beach.
