A wonderful place for whitewater paddling close to Burnt Cedar Beach is Truckee River, and taking a little spree to nearby Crystal Bay is a magnificent idea. Sand Harbor Beach State Recreation Area is worth checking out if you're at Burnt Cedar Beach, and you can always enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Hidden Beach. Go for a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 14, and the fine people of Carson City like to hang out close by. A round of golf at nearby Old Brockway Golf Course is a fine way to kill some time; you can hit the beach if you want, Incline Beach is practically right here. If you want a nice time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Burnt Cedar Beach. There are great locations to look at along the Mount Rose Trail, and of course Second Creek flows through this neighborhood.
