Hurst Beach, Onslow County, North Carolina Custom Search   My family owned a farm between Hurst Beach & highway 172 and I spent a lot of time at Hurst beach while  growing up.  That all ended when the Gov. took over half the County to make Camp Lejeune Marine Base. The nearby lodgings are quite away from the beach, and if you make reservations before heading out you're all set. And obviously, there are campgrounds in the vicinity. This     segment of North Carolina has a good selection of beaches. Hurst Beach doesn’t get many visitors, but it is a tremendously great beach. Some endeavors here are boating, fishing, and swimming, so one won't be without amusing stuff to do. Hammocks Beach State Park is a tremendous place, and Onslow Beach is a lovely beach to explore. Gillets Creek is a striking stream that is worth checking out; this is a popular place for folks from Jacksonville. You have to without doubt pop by pretty North Topsail Shores while you're here at Hurst Beach. A good deal of precipitation falls at Hurst Beach; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and November meanwhile is the driest month. Through the summer at Hurst Beach temperatures are frequently in the 80's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 60's.
