Thomsonite Beach doesn’t get loads of visitors, but spending     time at this piece of coast is incredibly enjoyable. There's brilliant hiking along the Minong Ridge Fire Manway; a good site nearby is Gull Rocks. The Island Mine Trail offers hiking at its best, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Ishpeming Trail. All through the summer highs here at Thomsonite Beach reach the 70's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's while Thomsonite Beach nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's.
