Western Beach, Cumberland County, Maine   Western Beach doesn’t get many visitors, but what a nice site for going to the beach it is. Maine is a splendid site for beach folks. The surroundings of this piece of coast has so much. There's plenty of outdoors recreation available nearby such as golfing, fishing, whitewater paddling, swimming, and boating, so being bored is not something that is projected to take place. And it goes without saying that, there are campgrounds in close proximity. You may perhaps have to settle for a hotel a far away from the beach if you want to stay for the night, but     if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your vehicle. The convergence of the water and this section of coastline will make you feel tremendous. Pine Point Beach is in the neighborhood of Western Beach and is a delightful beach to go to, and while you're here you should go to Ferry Rock. Scarborough River is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting, and you should visit Western Cove when you're here. Here at Western Beach there are plenty of folks from Portland-South Portland, and paddling on Chandler Brook is so much fun. On a pretty day you can pop by Back Shore near Western Beach, and whitewater paddling is glorious on Royal River. All the outdoors entertaining stuff near Western Beach will keep you coming back repeatedly. If you're a golfer then a perfect nearby course is Willowdale Golf   Club; Black Rock is absolutely a delightful spot to stop by. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Pleasant Hill Golf Course; don't leave without stopping by Crescent Beach State Park. For you golfers we recommend close by Nonesuch River Golf Club. The high level of precipitation makes Western Beach a reasonably wet site; most of the rain falls through November; the driest of the months is August. All through the months of summer, highs usually are in the 70's at Western Beach, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Western Beach.
