Short     Sands is a tremendously popular slice of shoreline; pieces of shore like these are delightful. Great Works River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by, and places like Odiorne State Park are wonderful to stop by. Do schedule some time to stop at Barn Point near Short Sands if you have a chance, and some of the water nearby flows, like Prebble Brook. Why not go to Cape Neddick also if you're here, and you need to stop at York Cliffs if you're here. Simpson Hill is trouble-free to spot from Short Sands, and during your stay here do check out nearby Cape Neddick Beach. And if that's not sufficient, there's lots more to do right next door to Short Sands. If you want to visit some out of the ordinary stuff, visit Dover Bluff, and you can spend the day on the beach at Long Beach. Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Atlantic       Ocean. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Short Sands. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Short Sands.
