| | We went to Scarborugh Beach on September 19, 2007 and were very disappointed. At the gate house a young fellow collected $4 from us. The restrooms were fenced in and locked. There are more endeavors here other than just hanging out at the beach such as fishing, golfing, whitewater paddling, boating, and swimming, so one won't be without amusing stuff to do. Maine is a magnificent beach state. Beaches are splendid; and Western Beach close to Scarborough Beach is no exception; paddling on Chandler Brook is so much fun. Be careful coming to the Wind River Range, you might not ever want to return home again. Do schedule some time to visit Prouts Neck in the vicinity of Scarborough Beach if you have a chance, | |

and one of the best things about this location is its proximity to Back Shore. This is such a pleasant ski area. A journey to East Point close to Scarborough Beach is always a great idea, and a brilliant location to visit close by is Shooting Rock. During your visit to Scarborough
Beach you'll meet some folks from Portland-South Portland for sure, and hey, Scarborough River is a magnificent local stream. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Royal River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Sable Oaks Golf Club is a delightful golf course
nearby. That right there is heaps of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Wind River Range has it all. When you're here at Scarborough Beach it's always fun to take a look at Crescent Beach State Park; while you're here you can play some golf at Pleasant Hill Golf Course.
This is an incredibly pleasant ski area. Enjoy a round of golf at Willowdale Golf Club not far from Scarborough Beach. At Scarborough Beach during the summer highs are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally
in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Scarborough Beach. Scarborough Beach sees pretty high levels of rain; the month with most of the rain is November while August is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
