Hold Shore, Washington County, Maine   Hold Shore is a relaxing place, and spending time at this section of coastline is incredibly enjoyable. If you are in Maine through the warm days of summer you must explore the beach. This section of coastline has so much. There's so much exciting stuff to do near Hold Shore including swimming, boating, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so one may stick around for a while. Not too many accommodations close by, you'll have to go a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance of a trip since these hotels fill up quickly during the summer months.     The sparkling water and the Maine seaboard is a panorama worth seeing. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Why not take a look at Corliss Point also while you're here, and you can spend the day on the beach at Campbell Shore. If you come at the right time of year, Old Stream offers some delightful whitewater, and taking a little journey to close by Greenland Cove is a tremendous idea. Float down the rapids of Grand Lake Stream in a kayak, and some of the water close by flows, like Big Brook. Hold Shore is a reasonably wet place generally with a good deal of rain; through November this area sees the most rain while June is generally the driest month. For the duration of the summer highs here at Hold Shore get into the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's.
