Birchhead Shore, Hancock County, Maine   How long has it been since you went to the beach? Birchhead Shore in Hancock County, Maine is just the location. The shining water and this segment of shoreline is such a delightful vista. There's so much cool things to do right next door to Birchhead Shore including hiking, fishing, whitewater paddling, boating, and swimming, so becoming bored is not something that is likely to happen. There aren’t any hotels close at hand but if you're prepared to travel a small distance then no problem but do book a room previous to going given that it is a very popular     destination. Birchhead Shore is not an extremely busy section of shore; it is one of many magnificent sections of coastline in this neighborhood. Maine is a wonderful location for beach folks. If you're a camper you can pitch that tent at one of the glorious campgrounds nearby. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Branch Lake Stream; if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Watson Brook. Not far from Birchhead Shore you come across Allen Cove; Holbrook Island Sanctuary State Park is a pleasant place to stretch your legs a bit. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Blue Hill Trail; High Head is in the neighborhood and always delightful to take a look at. Hiking along the Sawyer Notch Trail is wonderful fun, and soar down the rapids of Blue Hill Falls in a kayak. If only every site had this much outdoors fun things, what a great   world it would be. Birchhead Shore is right by the Old Cove Trail. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Birchhead Shore. For the period of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are usually in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Birchhead Shore. Birchhead Shore is a good spot of common rain; the month with most of the rain is November while February is generally the driest month.
