Back Shore, Cumberland County, Maine   No chance of feeling bored in Maine if you love the beach. Ok, time to get out and breathe some fresh air; Back Shore in Cumberland County, Maine is a glorious site to go. This slice of shoreline is always nice. Back Shore doesn’t get lots of visitors, but it's always amusing to be here. Some things to do here are whitewater paddling, swimming, fishing, golfing, and boating, so being short of things to do will not happen. The meeting of the water and the Maine seaboard is a view worth seeing. For all you camping people there are campgrounds in the neighborhood.     Spend the day on the beach at Pine Point Beach since you're here at Back Shore, and Back Shore is a location with many visitors from Portland-South Portland. Crescent Beach State Park is both fine and picturesque, and it's near Back Shore, and nearby Black Rock is a good place to go. Some of the water close by flows, like Scarborough River, and in the vicinity of Back Shore you hit upon a golf course called Pleasant Hill Golf Course. During your stay at Back Shore do take a look at close by Western Beach, and while you're here and you like golf, you can have a look at Willowdale Golf Club. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a perfect time here at Back Shore. Not far from Back Shore you stumble on Ferry Rock, and enjoy a round of golf at Nonesuch River Golf Club. Prouts Neck is close at hand and always great to pop by, and whitewater   paddling is brilliant on Royal River. Paddling on Chandler Brook is so much fun. Through the warm months here at Back Shore, high temperatures generally reach the 70's. Summer night lows drop down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's, and nighttime lows throughout the winter for Back Shore tend to be in the 0's. A large amount of precipitation falls at Back Shore; the wettest month of the year is typically November, that's the one that rains the most while August is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
