Gibson Island Beach, Anne Arundel County, Maryland   Visiting the beach in Maryland is such a wonderful thing to do. If by chance you love nature, you won’t be disappointed; there's fishing, boating, golfing, whitewater paddling, swimming, and hiking, so it's out of the question to become bored. The campgrounds here at Gibson Island Beach are reasonably delightful. There aren’t any rooms in close proximity but if you're prepared to drive a short length then no problem but you'd better reserve ahead of going since these hotels fill up quickly through the long summer days. The way the water joins the stunning     Maryland seashore is quite a sight. This is a tremendous segment of shoreline. You really shouldn't be in a building every day; you need to get out of the house occasionally, and Gibson Island Beach in Anne Arundel County, Maryland is precisely what you must have. You are in close proximity to Inner Harbor while you're here at Gibson Island Beach, and don't leave Gibson Island Beach without first going for a hike along the Boxes Point Trail. Sandy Point State Park is a delightful spot to stretch your legs a bit, and there's great hiking along the Duck Inn Trail. A wonderful beach in close proximity to Gibson Island Beach is North Severn Beach, and Windmill Point is reasonably close. Golf can be played at Bay Hills Golf Club, and you can run the rapids of Herring Run. That right there is a load already, but it keeps on going; Gibson   Island Beach has it all. A quick trip to Magothy River near Gibson Island Beach is a good idea; a perfect place for whitewater paddling is Gunpowder Falls. Gibson Island Beach is not far at all from Baltimore-Towson, and if you're looking for a beach nearby we recommend Severn Beach. From a rain point of view Gibson Island Beach is a relatively typical place; the month with most of the rain is August, and October is when it's the driest. The warmest time of the year at Gibson Island Beach comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Highs through the winter are generally in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Gibson Island Beach fall into the 20's.
