There aren’t any hotels close by but if you're ok to journey a short length then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up snoozing in your vehicle. such a charming slice of shore. The way the water meets the shore is a vista worth seeing. Sunken Meadow Beach doesn’t have many amenities, but it unquestionably is a splendid beach. Hatches Creek flows through this neighborhood, and The Cove is very near and is a magnificent place
| | to go to. One of the best things about Sunken Meadow Beach is its proximity to Thumpertown Beach, and going for a hike on the Red Maple Swamp Trail is always a perfect adventure. Eastham Dunes is clearly visible from Sunken Meadow Beach, and golf can be played at Chequessett Yacht & Country Club. There is a nice hiking trail close to Sunken Meadow Beach called the Nauset Marsh Trail; the principal highlight in the neighborhood is the Eastham Dunes. National Seashore is worthwhile; do schedule some time to go to Silver Spring Harbor if you have a chance. Sunken Meadow Beach is not far at all from Barnstable Town, and a great location like Nickerson State Park is too glorious to leave out. The Buttonbush Trail is a fine hiking
trail next to Sunken Meadow Beach, and a day at Cooks Brook Beach is time well spent. All through the warm days of summer here at Sunken Meadow Beach, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's usually in the 60's. The cold days of the winter
come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Sunken Meadow Beach are in the 20's. Sunken Meadow Beach sees pretty high levels of rain; most of the rain falls throughout November while July is mostly the driest month.
