Sandy Beach is right by the Richard Trail; a wonderful panorama of pretty Mount Holyoke is available. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Connecticut River, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Pine Grove Golf Club is nearby. Taylor Notch is a great location to stop by close by, and a trip to Skinner State Park when you're here is never a bad idea. There's just no way somebody can get bored here | |

at Sandy Beach. Getting to Fort River from Sandy Beach is trouble-free, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Amherst Golf Club. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Link Trail, and while you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Springfield.
Sandy Beach is a wet place that gets a lot of precipitation; May is the month that gets the most rain; January meanwhile is the driest month. All through the warm months highs here at Sandy Beach get into the 70's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are generally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Sandy Beach are in the 10's.
