One of the best things about Parkwood Beach is its proximity to Minot Forest Beach; an out of the ordinary thing to visit near Parkwood Beach is Parker Mills Pond Dam. This ski area is a pleasant place to visit. Quahog Bar is close to Parkwood Beach and is positively a splendid site to visit, and on a lovely day you get a pleasant sight of Wankinco Neck from Parkwood Beach. Taking a little journey to nearby Barneys   Point is a good idea, and you can spend the day on the beach at Nobska Beach. Be careful coming to Parkwood Beach, you might not ever want to go home again. Crooked River is a stunning stream that is worth stopping at, and Marion Golf Club is a golf course close by. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things in the Wind River Range. A golf course right next door to Parkwood Beach is Bay Pointe Country Club, and for you golfers we recommend close by Little Harbor Country Club. This ski area is so pleasant. All the water falling down from the sky makes Parkwood Beach a wet place; November is the wettest month with most rain while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. High temperatures at Parkwood Beach through the days of summer are in the 80's; the overnight is quite cooler of course, commonly in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are generally in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Parkwood Beach drop into the 10's.
