One of the best things about Head of the Meadow Beach is its proximity to Great Hollow Beach, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Head of the Meadow Beach; Great Island Trail is a fine local trail. If you haven’t been to Cape Cod National Seashore, you have to schedule some time for it while you're here, and there's glorious hiking along the Pamet Cranberry Bog Trail. Don't leave Head of the Meadow Beach without first paying a visit to Pilgrim Spring; if you're here and you like golf, you can check out Highland Golf. Good hiking is available along the Small Swamp Trail, and a day at Highland Beach is time well spent. But wait, there's more to do close to Head of       the Meadow Beach. At Head of the Meadow Beach you can make out Peters Hill, and a visit here wouldn’t be complete without a trip to nearby Nickerson State Park. At Head of the Meadow Beach through the warm months highs are in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer   temperatures sink down into the 60's. During the winter the highs are generally in the 30's with temperatures at Head of the Meadow Beach dipping down into the 20's during winter nights.
