many good segments of shore in this neighborhood. In case you're a camper you can raise that tent of yours at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Haleiwa Army Beach is near Maeaea if you're in a beach type of mood; hiking is a popular thing to do around Maeaea; Peacock Flat Trail
| | is a brilliant local trail. You might want to pay a visit to Kawailoa Gulch since you're here at Maeaea, and Anahulu River is near Maeaea and is always a bliss to stop by. If you want to hit the beach, Kawailoa Beach is close at hand, and wonderful hiking is available along the Mokuleia Trail. Not far from Maeaea you acquire some great water scenery at Haleiwa Boat Harbor, and Maeaea is in the neighborhood of Pu'u o Mahuka Heiau State Monument which is a lovely location.
