'Iao Valley State Monument is a great place to stop by on a pretty day; you are in close proximity to Kanaio if you're here. Do pay a visit to Haleakala National Park since you're here at Maalaea Beach, and time spent at Kaleia is always great. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place.
