nearby Kahului-Wailuku, and if you're a golfer then a great nearby course is MMK Maui LP Golf Course. There is a great hiking trail in close proximity to Laie called the Sliding Sands Trail; Makena State Park is a good place to stretch your legs a bit. On a glorious day it's a
delightful idea to spend the day at Waimahaihai. A good deal of precipitation falls at Laie; January is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is September. Throughout the warm months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Laie; the overnight is slightly colder of course,
generally in the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 80's while Laie night low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 60's.
