The Halemauu Trail is a magnificent hiking trail near Kaulahao, and Haleakala National Park is a glorious national park. too splendid to be true. A journey to Kuau Bay near Kaulahao is always a wonderful idea, and a nice place is Father Jules Papa. Enjoy a round of golf at Pukalani Country Club not far from Kaulahao, and you can spend the day on the beach at Spreckelsville Beach. There is a great
hiking trail close to Kaulahao called the Sliding Sands Trail. Kaulahao is a wet spot that gets a large amount of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is January while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Throughout the summer here at Kaulahao, high temperatures
commonly reach the 80's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are commonly in the 80's with temperatures at Kaulahao dipping down into the 60's through winter nights.
