Haleki'i-Pihana Heiau State Monument is a pretty location any time of year, and Kaleia is next to Keahuaiwi Gulch which is without doubt worth visiting. Getting to Waikapu Stream from Kaleia is simple; King Kamehameha Golf Club is a magnificent golf course close by. If you want to hit the beach, Maalaea Beach is in the vicinity, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Sandalwood Golf Course. This site is so good, just look at all  
the enjoyable things to do near Kaleia. Take a hike on the Lower Trail, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because MMK Maui LP Golf Course is close by. A journey to nearby Maalaea Bay is very relaxing; hiking along the Sliding Sands Trail is tremendous fun. You'll meet a lot of folks from Kahului-Wailuku here, and you can have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Halemauu Trail. For the duration of the summer months, highs usually are in the 80's at Kaleia while night lows are mostly in the 60's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 80's; winter nights come with lows in the 60's to Kaleia. Kaleia sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is January while June is mostly the driest month.
