you're ok to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better book ahead of going as these hotels fill up fast through the long summer days. Bowers Beach is not a very congested section of coastline, and it positively is a good beach. This piece of shoreline is so scenic.
| | There's plenty of outdoors recreation available nearby such as swimming, fishing, and boating, so there's no way to become bored. Killens Pond State Park is a magnificent location to stretch your legs a bit, and if you want to hit the beach, Pickering Beach is close by. Shirleys Bar is a wonderful place to stop by close by; needless to say Murderkill River flows through this area. You'll meet a lot of people from Dover here, and if you have time to spare, New Jersey Coastal Heritage Trail Route is a national park worth a visit. At Bowers Beach through | |

the months of summer highs are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. For the period of the winter the highs are regularly in the 40's while Bowers Beach overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 20's. A good deal of precipitation falls at Bowers Beach; September is the month that gets the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
