A journey to Goshen Ledge is always fun, and if you're looking for a beach close by we recommend Osprey Beach. Enjoy a round of golf at Groton Town Shennecossett Golf Course not far from Town Beach, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Fenger Brook. Having a brilliant time at Town Beach is uncomplicated. Shennecossett Municipal Golf Course is a good golf course close by; you can always enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Ocean Beach. A round of golf at nearby Birch Plain Golf Course & Driving Range is a nice way to kill some time, and there are   plenty of people from Norwich-New London here at Town Beach. Go for a hike on the Narragansett Trail. The high level of rainfall makes Town Beach a quite wet spot; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and June is when it's the driest. For the period of the warmest time of the year at Town Beach highs are usually in the 80's, and the night is a tad cooler of course, generally in the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Town Beach.
