| | Connecticut has scores of beaches. This slice of shoreline is always wonderful. The dazzling water and a striking seaboard beats anything. Silver Sands Beach doesn’t get a lot of visitors, but scores of people like to come here to be in the vicinity of the water. Outdoors recreation is bountiful; some of the entertaining stuff you can do are golfing, boating, swimming, whitewater paddling, hiking, and fishing, so you will not be deficient in entertaining stuff to do. prior to departure you're all set. For all you camping folks there are campgrounds in close proximity. West Rock Ridge State Park is a nice place to stop at on a wonderful day; the West Woods Trail is a fine hiking trail nearby. At East Breakwater next to Silver Sands Beach there
| | are some interesting things to see, and do schedule some time to stop at Morris Neck if you have a chance. If you're here at Silver Sands Beach, you could check out Tuttle Brook, and if you want to hit the beach, West Silver Sands Beach is close at hand. If the weather is beautiful, you get a splendid view of Raynham Hill from Silver Sands Beach, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Hammonasset River. | | go for a hike along the Quinnipiac Trail. Here at Silver Sands Beach you'll probably meet some folks from New Haven-Milford; you need to check out Cow and Calf if you're here. Now, you may imagine that's plenty but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Silver Sands Beach. On a glorious day at Silver Sands Beach you can take a hike along the Regicides Trail.
