Some of the pastimes here are golfing, swimming, boating, hiking, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so one won't lack enjoyable things to do. The calm of the water and a pretty seashore is such a wonderful sight. You will possibly have to settle for a hotel a far from the beach if you want to spend a night, but do book a room previous to going given that it is a very popular destination. This segment of Connecticut has a nice     selection of beaches. A segment of shoreline such as this is too brilliant to leave out. And as expected, there are campgrounds in the vicinity. If you're here at Short Beach, do take a trip to Horton Point, and what would a place like Short Beach be without out of the ordinary nearby features like Blyn Rock. Paynes Point is not far from Short Beach at all; don't leave Short Beach without first checking out Cow and Calf. While you're here at Short Beach you can take a hike along the West Woods Trail; while you're here, you might as well go to Five Foot Rock. The great folks of New Haven-Milford like to hang out close by, and Bird Rock is a glorious spot to explore while in the neighborhood. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Short Beach. Hit the beach if you want, Momauguin Beach is practically       right here, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Quinnipiac Trail. Nothing beats kicking back at Front Beach, and in close proximity to Short Beach you come across a golf course called Twin Lakes Golf Course. The peak of Beacon Hill can be distinguished from Short Beach,   and unsurprisingly Farm River flows through this neighborhood. You can take a little journey to Lake Saltonstall Dam since you're here at Short Beach, and Wharton Brook State Park is a nice site. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff at Short Beach. Get soaked paddling on Hammonasset River, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Regicides Trail. For the duration of the summertime highs here at Short Beach reach the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are usually in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Short Beach temperatures dip to the 20's. A lot of rainfall falls at Short Beach; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest of the months is February.
