Ok, time to get out and breathe some fresh air, and Shennecossett Beach in New London County, Connecticut is exactly the place. There are campgrounds reasonably near the segment of shoreline where you can raise that tent. There aren’t any hotel rooms close at hand but if you're willing to go a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up snoozing |

in your car. Connecticut has loads of beaches. As if Shennecossett Beach wasn't sufficient you can also go swimming, fishing, whitewater paddling, hiking, golfing, and boating, so being deficient in things to do will not happen. Shennecossett Beach doesn’t get loads of visitors,
| | but it is one of many magnificent sections of coastline in this region. This piece of coastline has everything. There's nice hiking along the Narragansett Trail, and why not stop at Trails Pond Dam if you're here. A trip to close by Eastern Point is very relaxing, and if the weather is lovely, you get a great view of Averys Hill from Shennecossett Beach. Taking a little journey to nearby Avery Point is a glorious idea, and a day at pretty Eastern Point Beach near Shennecossett Beach is a great thing to do. Shennecossett Beach, and on a gorgeous day you can take a look at Bushy Point Beach. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Shennecossett Beach. There are plenty of folks from Norwich-New London here at Shennecossett Beach; it's a tremendous idea to stop by Birch Plain
Creek. A tour to Bluff Point Coastal Reserve State Park invigorates the soul, and if you're here you can play some golf at Groton Town Shennecossett Golf Course. A golf course close to Shennecossett Beach is Shennecossett Municipal Golf Course, and since you're here and you like
golf, you can go to Birch Plain Golf Course & Driving Range. A great deal of rain falls at Shennecossett Beach; most of the rain falls during November, and June on the other hand is the driest. Through the summertime here at Shennecossett Beach, high temperatures regularly reach
the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; overnight lows in the 10's for Shennecossett Beach.
