There's a lot of outdoors recreation available nearby such as fishing, whitewater paddling, swimming, hiking, golfing, and boating, so becoming bored is not something that is expected to occur. There aren’t any hotels in the vicinity but if you're prepared to travel a short length then no problem but do book a room before you go because it is a very popular destination. Ocean Beach is a relaxing site; it's one of those sites where everything is delightful. |

A great spot like Harkness Memorial State Park in the neighborhood of Ocean Beach is too great to leave out; since you're here and you like golf, you can stop at Groton Town Shennecossett Golf Course. And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do close to Ocean Beach. | |

Goshen Ledge is a glorious spot to check out close by, and close to Ocean Beach you stumble on a golf course called Shennecossett Municipal Golf Course. The great folks of Norwich-New London like to hang out nearby, and enjoy a round of golf at Birch Plain Golf Course & Driving

| | Range. Some of the water close by flows, like Fenger Brook. At Ocean Beach throughout the summer months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and night lows at Ocean Beach throughout the winter mostly plunge into the 10's. A lot of rainfall falls at Ocean Beach; November is the wettest month with most rain, and June is the month with the least moisture. |
