The shining water and this segment of coastline will make you feel wonderful. There aren’t any hotel rooms in the vicinity but if you're ready to journey a small distance then no problem and if you make reservations prior to departure you're all set. A tour to Osbornedale State Park when you're here at Gulf Beach is never a bad idea, and one of the best things about this place is its proximity to Fort Trumbull Beach. Going for a hike on the Regicides Trail is always a delightful adventure, and an afternoon playing golf at Orange Hills Country Club is always a diversion. to Prudden Point; there are tremendous spots to look at along the Naugatuck Trail. Beaches are great; and Gulf Beach near Gulf Beach is no exception; hey, Wepawaug River is a magnificent local stream. Knobb Hill is clearly visible from Gulf Beach, and if you're a golfer then a
nice close by course is Orchards Golf Course. You're sure to run into some cheerful folks from New Haven-Milford here. For the duration of the warmest time of the year highs here at Gulf Beach reach the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's.
Highs during the winter are frequently in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Gulf Beach. All the water falling down from the sky makes Gulf Beach a wet site; May is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest.
