Hanford Rock is an exciting place to stop at while at Compo Beach, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Norwalk River. If you're keen on cool geologic traits, try Georges Rock, and a day at Alvord Beach is time well spent. water nearby, Saugatuck River is a stream you can explore during your stay, and a journey to Compo Point is always a perfect idea. Compo Hill is clearly visible from Compo Beach; do schedule some time to visit Cedar Point if you have a chance. One of the best things about Compo
Beach is its proximity to Burial Hill Beach. Compo Beach is a quite wet place generally with much precipitation; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest of the months is February. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Compo Beach while nighttime lows are usually in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Compo Beach.
