For all you camping folks there are campgrounds in close proximity. As if Clinton Beach wasn't enough you can also go hiking, swimming, boating, whitewater paddling, and fishing, so being short of things to do will not take place. If you want to go to some attention-grabbing stuff, go to The Ledges, and a perfect place like Hammonasset Beach State Park is too perfect to leave out. There's some interesting stuff to distinguish at Duck Island Breakwaters right next door to Clinton Beach, and on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Mattabesset Trail. | | can go for a hike along the West Woods Trail. You are in the neighborhood of Kelsey Point if you're here at Clinton Beach, and since you're here why not visit East Ledge. Paddling on Salmon River is so much fun. Clinton Beach is a reasonably wet place ordinarily with a great deal of rain; through the month of April you get the most rain around here; February is the month with the least moisture. During the long summer days at Clinton Beach temperatures are regularly in the 80's while night lows are usually in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Clinton Beach. |
