If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little River, and the vista of Millers Hill is scenic. When you're here at Babbs Beach it's always fun to stop by Robinson State Park, and a great place for whitewater paddling is Farmington River. Trail is always a great adventure, and if you're a golfer then a glorious close by course is Edgewood Golf Course. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can check out Congamond Lakes North Dike; golf can be played at Southwick Country Club. Don't leave Babbs Beach without

| | first going for a hike along the Richard Trail, and at Babbs Beach you always meet someone from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford. Babbs Beach is a wet place that gets a great deal of rain; May is when you get the most rain here, and January is when it's the driest. Summertime highs at Babbs Beach regularly tend to be in the 80's; the night is a bit cooler of course, typically in the 50's. During the wintertime highs are usually in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Babbs Beach temperatures sink to the 0's. |
