The fine folks of Oxnard-Thousand Oaks-Ventura like to hang out nearby, and needless to say, all our national parks are glorious places to have a look at and Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area is no exception. Do schedule some time to   visit Lechuza Point next to Trancas Beach if you have a chance. Not much rain falls here at Trancas Beach; the month with most of the rain is February; July is the month with the least moisture. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Trancas Beach. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are commonly in the 60's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Trancas Beach dip into the 40's.
