| | Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, and In the event that you happen to be in San Mateo County of California, Sand Beach is an excellent local section of coastline. With so many beaches in California you'll never become bored. And needless to say, there are campgrounds close at hand. The calm of the water and such a lovely piece of coast is such a pretty sight. Sand Beach is not an incredibly busy segment of coastline, and what an excellent spot for going to the beach it is. The surroundings of this section of shore has everything. |

Outdoors recreation is plentiful; some of the amusing things you can do are boating, fishing, whitewater paddling, swimming, and hiking, so becoming bored is not something that is expected to happen. A visit to Pescadero State Beach when you're here at Sand Beach is never a bad
| | idea, and Sand Beach is near Dairy Gulch which is certainly worth going to. Pescadero Point is not far from Sand Beach at all; on a tremendous day you can take a hike along the Ano Nuevo Trail. The summit of Round Hill can be seen from Sand Beach, and the Alambique Trail is a good hiking trail close by. Do pay a visit to Juan Bautista De Anza National Historic Trail since you're here at Sand Beach; there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Butano Ridge Loop Trail.
