The nearby lodgings are fairly away from the beach, but you'd better book before heading out as these hotels fill up quickly throughout the summer months. so being without activities will not take place. This section of shoreline is so glorious. Places like Mandalay Beach Park are great to explore; going for a hike on the Horn Canyon Trail is always a great adventure. Don't forget to go to Hueneme Lagoon while you're here at Ormond

This is a popular location for folks from Oxnard-Thousand Oaks-Ventura; if you're interested in hydro structures, you can go to Channel Island Harbor. Hollywood Beach is a beach close to Ormond Beach that you can stop by, and playing golf is lots of fun at River Ridge Golf Course.
