One of the best things about Muir Beach is its proximity to Red Rock Beach, and Pirates Cove is close at hand and always delightful to have a look at. A visit to Muir Woods National Monument is recommended; you can go for a hike on the Ben Johnson Trail. Tennessee Valley Dam has wonderful water scenery and it's near Muir Beach, and there's nice hiking along the West Point Trail. This is no site for people who don’t like to have fun. A spree to Mount Tamalpais State Park invigorates the spirit, and there are plenty of people from San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont here at Muir Beach. Visit Redwood       Creek while you're here at Muir Beach, and don't leave Muir Beach without first paying a visit to Kent Falls. A wooded vicinity near Muir Beach is Bohemian Grove, and close by you discover Frank Valley which is a great place to stop by. Throughout the summer highs here at Muir   Beach get into the 80's, and the nighttime is a tad colder of course, frequently in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's while Muir Beach overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 40's.
