Fan Shell Beach close to Moss Beach is no exception, and a round of golf at nearby Rancho Canada Golf Club is a fine way to kill some time. Going for a hike along the San Clemente Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and there are some nice whitewater
spots on Little Sur River. Moss Beach gets a typical amount of rain; the month with most of the rain is January, and August is the month with the least moisture. High temperatures at Moss Beach through the long summer days are in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures
are in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 60's with temperatures at Moss Beach dipping down into the 30's during winter nights.
