| | The way the water meets this segment of coastline is a view worth seeing. Coming to this piece of coast is always a perfect idea. Moondunes Beach is not a fantastically visited beach, but being at the beach is such an exciting thing to do, and this is a fine spot to do that. A small number of accommodations nearby, you'll have to voyage a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up slumbering in your automobile. The campgrounds here at Moondunes Beach are pretty perfect. California is a magnificent place for beach folks. Outdoors |

recreation is bountiful; some of the amusing stuff you can do are hiking, fishing, whitewater paddling, golfing, boating, and swimming, so it's just not possible to turn bored. If you're here at Moondunes Beach, do take a spree to Agate Bay, and lots of people from Gardnerville
| | Ranchos come here. While you're here at Moondunes Beach you must stop by Flick Point, and since you're here and you like golf, you can have a look at Old Brockway Golf Course. A day at Atagam Beach near Moondunes Beach is time well spent, and a visit to Kings Beach State Park when you're here is never a bad idea. Go for a hike on the Mount Rose Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Truckee River. You imagine that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up.
