Not many hotels close at hand, you'll have to voyage a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up snoozing in your vehicle. Rubicon Bay is in the vicinity of Lester Beach and is a brilliant place to explore; Silver Creek - South Fork is a perfect whitewater spot nearby. A journey to Rubicon Point close to Lester Beach is always a great idea, and D. L. Bliss State Park is a lovely spot any time of year. Good hiking is available along the Red Peak Trail, and there are plenty of folks from Gardnerville Ranchos here at Lester Beach. Go for a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 14; you can run the rapids of American River - South Fork. Just can't get enough of Lester Beach. Don't leave Lester Beach without first going for a hike along the General Creek Trail, and let's not       forget Rubicon Creek which is a stream that you may encounter while you're here. If you're looking for a beach next to Lester Beach, we recommend Baldwin Beach, and a perfect spot close by is Lonely Gulch. Interesting geology is available here; Balance Rock is in close proximity   to Lester Beach, and you can always enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Calawee Cove Beach. High temperatures at Lester Beach through the summertime are in the 70's. Summer night lows drop down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and night lows in the 10's for Lester Beach.
