Lester Beach is not a fantastically crowded slice of shoreline, and it's one of those spots where everything is wonderful. You simply should go to Balance Rock while you're here at Lester Beach; Lonely Gulch is a delightful place to stop at. Rubicon Point is not far from Lester Beach at all, and in case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Silver Creek - South Fork. Rubicon Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at; the nice folks of Gardnerville Ranchos like to hang out nearby. Don't forget to visit Rubicon Bay if you're here at Lester Beach, and time spent at Calawee Cove Beach is always nice. Just can't get enough of Lester Beach. Going for a hike on the       Red Peak Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and D. L. Bliss State Park is worth taking a look at. Near Lester Beach you locate the General Creek Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail, and American River - South Fork is a wonderful whitewater spot close by. The Pacific Crest   Trail - section 14 is a glorious hiking trail close to Lester Beach, and a day at beautiful Baldwin Beach near Lester Beach is a great thing to do. Lester Beach is a good site of normal precipitation; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and July is when it's the driest. Through the warm days of summer highs here at Lester Beach reach the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lester Beach.
