Hey, time for the beach, or what do you think? Kellogg Road Beach in Del Norte County, California is exactly what you must have. California has lots of beaches. And it goes without saying that, there are campgrounds in close proximity. Not too many hotel rooms in the neighborhood, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve prior to departure as these hotels fill up quickly through the summer months. |

This is such a pretty slice of shore. Kellogg Road Beach doesn’t get lots of visitors, but it is a good hideaway from the city. Some of the endeavors here are swimming, golfing, fishing, hiking, boating, and whitewater paddling, so you could stay for a while. There are plenty of
| | people from Crescent City North here at Kellogg Road Beach; Kellogg Road Beach is close to Lakes Earl and Talawa State Park which is a pretty place. On a good day at Kellogg Road Beach you can take a hike along the Paradise Trail, and whitewater paddling is glorious on Smith River - South Fork. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Kings Valley Golf Course, and why not a little side visit to Talawa Slough. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Kellogg Road Beach fall into the 40's. |
