Gallinas Beach, Marin County, California   If you are in California during the summer months you have got to check out the beach. The meeting of the water and a striking coastline is a lovely vista. This segment of shore is a wonderful location to pop by. Some activities here are fishing, golfing, boating, hiking, swimming, and whitewater paddling, so one will not run out of cool things to do. Few accommodations in the vicinity, you'll have to travel a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance of a trip you're all set. Finally, beach time has arrived again, and Gallinas Beach in Marin     County, California is a really perfect place to be. And naturally, there are campgrounds in the neighborhood. Black Canyon is a glorious site to take a look at near Gallinas Beach; on a tremendous day you can take a hike along the Temelpa Trail. At Gallinas Beach you can make out Turtle Back, and there is a splendid hiking trail nearby called the Lagunitas Fire Trail. A trip to Point Molate Beach near Gallinas Beach is always a perfect idea, and going for a hike on the North Side Trail is always a fine adventure. Muir Woods National Monument is a great local destination here at Gallinas Beach, and golf can be played at Peacock Gap Golf and Country Club. This place rocks, just explore all the enjoyable stuff to do close to Gallinas Beach. Taking a little visit to close by Long Point is a great idea, and playing golf is lots of   fun at San Geronimo Golf Course. You'll meet a lot of folks from San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont here, and a tour to China Camp State Park is a pleasant idea. South Fork Gallinas Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth a visit. Not much rain falls here at Gallinas Beach; January is the month that gets the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. For the duration of the summer at Gallinas Beach highs are typically in the 80's; the nighttime is slightly chillier of course, mostly in the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are generally in the 50's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Gallinas Beach temperatures drop to the 30's.
