If you haven’t been to Juan Bautista De Anza National Historic Trail, you must schedule some time for it while you're here, and a great place to take a look at close by is Wash Rock. If the weather is magnificent here at Dunes Beach, you can go for a hike along the Alambique Trail, and places like Burleigh H. Murray Ranch State Park are splendid to stop at. The Ano Nuevo Trail is a brilliant hiking trail near Dunes Beach, and a golf course nearby is Crystal Springs Golf Course. On a wonderful day it's a pleasant idea to spend the day at Naples Beach, and an afternoon playing golf at Half Moon Bay Golf Links is always a diversion.
Pescadero Creek is a pleasant whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Dunes Beach, and a tour to close by Half Moon Bay is very relaxing. From a rain point of view Dunes Beach is a reasonably common spot; most of the rain falls throughout January, and the driest of the months is
July. During the warm months at Dunes Beach highs are ordinarily in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's with temperatures at Dunes Beach dipping down into the 30's through winter nights.
