There are more activities here other than simply hanging out at the beach such as swimming, boating, fishing, golfing, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so one will not be deficient in fun stuff to do. | | a great hiking trail; if you haven’t been to Redwood National and State Parks, you have to schedule some time for it while you're here. In case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Smith River - North Fork; lots of folks from Crescent City North come here. Smith River - South Fork is a nice whitewater spot next to Crescent Beach, and there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called the French Hill Trail. Cushing Creek which is a stream that you may stumble upon while you're here. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff to do are beyond doubt abundant here at Crescent Beach. You get a good vista of Howland Summit from Crescent Beach, and on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Paradise

| | Trail. Beaches are fine; and Pebble Beach in the vicinity of Crescent Beach is no exception; a round of golf at nearby Kings Valley Golf Course is a perfect way to kill some time. Crescent Beach usually gets a good deal of rainfall; December is when you get the most rain here while July is generally the driest month. During the summertime highs here at Crescent Beach get into the 60's while overnight lows are commonly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's, and night lows at Crescent Beach during the wintertime usually descend into the 30's. |
