Baker Beach is not a very visited segment of shore, but it is an excellent hideaway from the city. There are more things to do here other than just hanging out at the beach such as boating, swimming, fishing, hiking, and golfing, so you may well stick around. | | the Ben Johnson Trail. Fort Point is near Baker Beach and is a wonderful site to explore, and a day at China Beach is time well spent. Rainbow Falls is an inspiring site to explore while here; enjoy a round of golf at Gleneagles International Golf Course. And if that's not sufficient, there's heaps more to do right next door to Baker Beach. Go for a hike on the Temelpa Trail; don't miss out on a visit to Golden Gate National Recreation Area if you're here. While you're here at Baker Beach you can play some golf at Harding Park Golf Course. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Baker Beach, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 50's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Baker Beach tend to be in the 30's. All the water falling down from the sky makes Baker Beach a wet spot; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. |
